Backstory

In times before the Flood, having been stolen away to live in Voeburt he grew up there for a fair many years before he found out about the existence of pixies and the fae. At the time of his discovery he was hooked. Their playful magics, personalities, borderline malicious sense of humor. He found it all to be endearing and made it his mission to befriend them. They toyed with him, but never allowed him close for their warranted distrust of anything un-fae was strong.Eventually he earned the trust of them, they took him in and kept him at arms length playing their little games. He began to defend them from those who sought to do them harm. Poachers who wanted them for their “magical properties”, cruel people who simply desired to harm them.
He was their white knight and they hardly cared at the time. They were more than capable of defending themselves, but found his efforts endearing. A wonderful game.

Fatefully he’d been tracking a man who studied the fae, but for reasons that were not as wholesome as his own. He desired to take their powers for himself whether it be by coercion or force. Nothing came of it and it faded into the back of his mind.The flood came and Vee was spared. He spent his days helping the fae, uncaring of the people who’d shunned him. Once again the man resurfaced, or rather his young protégé; now a full grown man as well. He had a new idea. To use the aether of the fae to combat the effects of the light. Just a theory, but one that got a rather large group of others up in arms to assist the former protégé in his pursuit of fae magics.Vee defended the fae tooth and nail, knowing that even though their magic could protect them for the most part, the desperation of the group of people was strong enough to break through if they so desired. He nearly lost his life, but managed with the help of the pixies mainly, to fend off the party. He lay bloodied and broken on the ground and the pixies almost gave up on him. However, Titania took pity upon him and used his magic to heal him, but also to enhance him in ways unknown as a gift. He awoke weeks later with a scarred, but functional body and the ability to use no small amount of magic. The residual gift.
No small amount of aether and magic went into this gift and as a result Varelith blames himself for Titania becoming a Light Warden, however unreasonable that might sound to an outside ear.He doesn’t know much about the source, but found his abilities allow him to traverse the aetherytes as easily as the ones around him.
